ARCHITECTURE
Architecture can change you. New York’s skyscrapers, fountains, gardens, and more are iconic. It may seem odd, but places like the New York Public Library, Central Park, and the Museum of the City of New York bring me a rare calm. I even asked to visit Central Park and the museum for Mother’s Day last year.
And we can’t forget the stunning sites worldwide. The Pantheon in Italy and the pyramids at Chichen Itza in Mexico—one of the seven wonders of the world—are especially dear to me.
I could go on, but architecture feels like a close friend—its presence makes you feel alive. The people who built these places must have had incredible energy. I can’t fully explain the feeling, but I love architecture.
Two coffee-table books I always return to are listed in my library. I’ve linked the titles below.
What are you favorites sites?
Until next time,
Sandy
