my childhood mood board
Sometimes, we need to see the world with the same wide-eyed wonder and innocence we had as children to truly understand what it means to experience genuine joy.
That’s why I’m excited to share a children’s book I recently discovered at a local sale. It’s a charming story about Belle, my all-time favorite Disney character, but this book uniquely tells the tale of her childhood years. Finding it stirred a warm sense of nostalgia inside me. I couldn’t resist buying it, embracing the idea of “always a kid at heart.” A phrase we live by in our home.
Sometimes, putting aside our adult worries and responsibilities opens the door to unexpected new adventures. In my case, this new book became an incredible escape, a small but meaningful adventure back to simpler times. It’s a reminder that sometimes, we just need to be brave enough to live fully in the moment, to choose joy over fear, and not worry about what others might think or say.
If you were to dive back into the books, toys, or stories you loved as a kid, what memories or feelings would excite you the most? I’d love to hear your thoughts and reflections below.
With love,
Sandy
